Services
In a changing distribution landscape, filmmakers need to make their films available in a wide variety of formats and platforms (TV, Internet, mobile) in order to maximize their sales opportunity. Consumers are watching movies through different channels, websites, and on different devices with custom formats. With a large number of channels, formats, and delivery options, the process of selling content to so many outlets has become difficult to manage. Magic Rock’s goal is to simplifying the process for filmmakers by pre-negotiating terms and agreements with many outlets, and to manage the delivery in the right format to each and every consumption outlet.
Magic Rock offers a suite of software applications we call “Toolbox”, where filmmakers can pick and choose which services and outlets to sell their film, as well as use different software to achieve their marketing goals. The company also offers the “Active Distribution” platform, where distributors and filmmakers learn to more actively plan a release window for the film over a longer period of time.

Magic Rock Toolbox
In 2006, Magic Rock launched Neoflix, an e-commerce platform designed specifically for indie filmmakers pursuing do-it-yourself distribution. This is the only e-commerce platform built specifically to support filmmakers using a multi-channel strategy to reach their audience. Neoflix is recognized in the film industry as the premier independent film distribution platform in the world, attracting academy award, emmy, and top festival winning filmmakers who are determined to generate a new source of revenue with the demise of the traditional film distribution model.
Furthermore, to support the independent and direct marketing efforts, Magic Rock also created Web 2.0 software tools and customized business services so our clients can run more effective marketing campaigns and business operations. These tools include:

Active Distribution Framework
The Active Distribution framework was developed by Magic Rock to assist content creators expand the reach of their content into consumer channels. The always-evolving service continually engage new partners and retail sites to offer our client’s content. For example , we have setup accounts at Amazon and other retail sites to sell DVDs. So now clients can sell the same inventory in our warehouse faster. We also have partners for broadcasting content on cable and satellite TV, and other pay-per-view outlets. We help get clients in front of decision makers who decide if and when they want to acquire rights for broadcast. The key to the Active Distribution service is our clients retain control of which channels to distribute their contents to, and as much as possible, we provide them with the transparency on sales number so they know how well their content is monetizing across various channels.
